Does Muscle Weigh More than Fat?

No, they are the same pound for pound.

A pound of fat and a pound of muscle weigh exactly the same- 1 pound. Muscle tissue is more DENSE than fat tissue, meaning that the pound of muscle takes up less space than the pound of fat. This is why a person who is 130 lbs. and 20% body fat looks a lot smaller (leaner) than a person who is 130 lbs. and 30% body fat.

Remember, it is not how much your weigh but what your body fat is!

I'm pretty sure when someone asks this question they aren't asking about the 'scale' weight of a pound of fat vs. a pound of muscle. To say, 'no they weight the same' is blatantly obvious and quite a useless thing to say. A pound of my foot in your ass will still weight the same as a pound of your tears but that's also obvious right? So next time someone asks you this question, skip the stupid patronizing answer 'nope! they weight the same', and just tell them what they want to hear, 'given a cube of fat and a cube of muscle, both of which are the same size, the muscle will weight more.' Stop being asinine and take down this idiotic blog.

Hey Anonymous, how many pounds of pussy does it take to talk shit on a woman's blog and make passive threats?
